Forrest Faulknor started selling automobiles in San Francisco in the early 1950′s. From 1958 until 1973 he was the General Sales Manager and Vice President of British Motor Car Distributors on Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco. For many years, he was the number one Rolls Royce salesman in America.

In 1976, he opened Forrest Faulknor Enterprises, with his wife and seven children. His daughter, Lucie was the youngest car dealer in California at age 12, a feat that probably still stands.

In 1982, he opened Forrest Faulknor and Sons Auction Company, where the family, operated a dealers only auction company. His success did not go unnoticed. In 1986, Wells Fargo Bank asked him to take over the auctioning of its repossession and lease returns at the present location at 175 Sylvester Road. The auction grew from a sale every two weeks, to its present weekly sale. We have represented Wells Fargo every major bank, credit union, the U.S. bankruptcy court, U.S. Customs, the DEA, SamTrans, NCUA and San Francisco Police Department, and multiple municipalities.

As of 2010, Forrest Faulknor and Sons have over 54,000 registered bidders, who attend its weekly auctions. We pride ourselves in making the auction process easy for the bidders. We have a very stable core of employees, many who have been with us for over 20 years.

Forrest Faulknor and Sons Auction Company is a full service auction company that can auction anything. We have auctioned airplanes, yachts, homes and antiques. James Faulknor is a licensed and bonded California auctioneer.
